  • A newborn koala is only the size of a broad bean, blind and hairless.
  • A koala is not a bear ,in fact it is closely related to Wombats.
  • The Reason Koala bear is called a koala is because it looks like a teddy bear.

  • Koala young are known as ‘joeys'.
  • A koala can run as fast as a rabbit.
  • Koalas don’t usually  drink much water , they get all the moisture they need from the gumleaves.
